California Privacy Notice

This notice adds information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA). Please read it with our Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
In the last 12 months the Scribblie app has collected these categories of personal information, from the parent and, with parental consent, from the child:
- Identifiers: parent email address and account user ID.
- Characteristics: the child's first name and age.
- Audio and electronic information: the child's voice (deleted right after transcription), the friend's voice clips, drawings, and redacted conversation text.
- Internet or other electronic activity: pseudonymous app diagnostics, and website analytics only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Inferences: small facts the friend learns and the child confirms, used only to personalise the friend's conversation.
We use this information only for the purposes in the Privacy Policy and disclose it only to the service providers listed there.
2. No sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16.
3. Your rights
You may ask to know what personal information we have collected, to correct it, and to delete it. Delete everything in the app (Profile > Delete account) or email privacy@heyscribblie.com. We will verify the request using the email address on the account. You may use an authorised agent. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about anyone.
4. Non-discrimination
We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
