An honest note about safety and money
Scribblie is built for children to use with a grown-up in charge. A grown-up passes a parent check and gives consent before a child starts, and you can delete all your data in the app.
Subscriptions are bought by adults, through the App Store or Google Play. A child is never asked for a card. There are no ads in Scribblie.
We are still completing our legal and safety review and no child outside our team has used Scribblie yet. We do not claim any compliance certification we do not hold. Our current Terms and Privacy Policy describe the app as free and without subscriptions; both will be updated before any paid feature goes on sale. Read how we approach kids’ safety and privacy.
Common questions
How much will Scribblie cost?
We have decided on the shape (a free plan, plus a Scribblie Family subscription you can pay for monthly or yearly) but not the prices yet. We will publish them here before launch, and nothing is charged before the app is in the stores. Join the waitlist and we will email the prices when they are set.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan lets you draw, bring a drawing to life and talk with it. It will have a usage allowance. We will publish the exact allowance with the prices, rather than guess now.
What does Scribblie Family add?
A higher allowance for drawing and talking with your characters, for the whole household. The full feature list is final at launch; this page will be updated first.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, Scribblie Family will start with a free trial. The length is not decided yet and will be shown on this page and in the app before you are asked to pay anything.
Can I cancel any time?
You will manage and cancel the subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, as with any app subscription. We will explain exactly how, in plain words, in the app and in our Terms before launch.
Are there ads, or are my child’s drawings used to train AI?
There are no ads in Scribblie. Your child’s original drawing is kept exactly as drawn: it is never redrawn or “improved” by AI. For what we do and do not collect, read our Privacy Policy and the safety page.
Is safety a paid feature?
Our plan is that the grown-up controls (the parent check, consent, and deleting all your data) are never locked behind a subscription. Because plans are not final, we will confirm this on this page at launch.
Which phones and tablets will it work on?
iPhone, iPad and Android. Scribblie is not in the stores yet, so there is nothing to download today. The waitlist is the way to hear first.
